Pretty good book.
So interesting. Worth the read even though I've seen some of the episodes on YouTube. The book adds to those and organized them in my mind. I never thought I could find a book that actually delves so well into "how to be nice". Refreshing. I think I'll be nicer from now on)...
A practical and fun read with many interesting takes on the challenges associated with behaviour and human interraction. Insights abound.
I feel this short book is perfect if you want to learn to be a gentleman or a lady. It truly captures the spirit one should evoke when it comes to putting those at ease around us.
I don't write many reviews, I do read a lot of books, and I was pretty surprised to see that, "On Being Nice," had less than ten reviews. I've struggled with the idea of whether "being nice" is important and how it differs from kindness. This book is not a difficult read and is accessible to almost anyone, and that's a big part of why I hope more people read it. Each chapter clarifies different dimensions of "being nice," and kindness that I think everyone would find valuable.
Bought the book because I watch The School of Life youtube channel. Didn't realize before I bought it that a lot of the book is straight from their channel, which has a good narrator and animation. It is a good book though, I find what it says useful and well put. I'd just recommend going to their youtube instead.
